Swan RSS Tester - Test Page

Problem: "Swan RSS Tester" webstart application starts up with dark gray background on some components.

The first couple runs of the app may appear normal but the dark appearance will occur. This is a reversion, the problem appeared two JRE revsions ago, disappeared for the next revision and reappeared for the current revision (JRE 1.5.0_20).
I discovered a work around by requesting a different Heap size. One can also delete the cached jarfile and a fresh downloaded file will appear to be OK for a few times.
After installing the Developer Preview (JRE 1.5.0_22) in a separate volume, I discovered the problem persists and the work around fails.
While using the Developer Preview, alternating between two JNLP files with different heap size attributes, the "bad" window will appear, disappear, and reappear in some kind of toggle fashion.

Required:
OS Version: Mac OSX 10.5.8
Processor: PowerPC G5
Java JRE's: 1.5, 1.4.2

Requested JRE with 1024Mb heap size: 1.4+ | 1.5+ | 1.5*
This works for me on current JRE release, requests 1536Mb Heap: 1.4+(Defaults to 1.5)

Steps to Reproduce Problem:

Run Software Update to install latest java update. This step should be painless, but it is necessary if you're a minor version behind. (JRE 1.5.0_20)
Click on 1.5* link, wait for dialog box asking for access to your computer. Click "Allow"
It will either startup or show the downloads panel, and you can 2x click from there.
Once it starts up, command Q to quit, then startup 2-4 times until dark panels appear on the program. (See ScreenShots);(You can also start from the Apple menu >Recent Items>Documents>1024x5.0plus_swantool.jnlp)

PS: Works OK on Mac-Intel and Windows 2000/XP
